Turn your unit on, prior to extreme warm weather to be sure it is cooling properly. Set the thermostat to auto and cool or heat depending on the season. In the summer, set your temperature between 76 and 78 degrees when the home or office is occupied. And set your temperature slightly higher (80 - 82) when the home or office is unoccupied. In the winter set your temperature between 68 - 70 when occupied, and between 65-67 when unoccupied. Keeping the unit on will prevent it from working too hard to cool down or heat up in extreme temperatures.

Check, Change or Clean Monthly as needed, but not less than once every three months.

Troubleshooting

NOTE: IF YOU APPEAR TO BE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH YOUR AIR CONDITIONER, FOR EXAMPLE, THE UNIT IS NOT TURNING ON OR YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANY COOLING. YOU CAN CHECK THESE ITEMS:

• Check your filter to make sure it is clean and not obstructing airflow.
• Make sure the thermostat is in the auto position and set to cooling mode.
• Check the breaker/circuit box, make sure the breaker for the air conditioner
  is on (not tripped).
